✦ The Power of ID — Custom Medallions Inlaid in Moso Bamboo. Think Beyond.
How Every Piece Is Made! Hand Finished, Every One.
“Too many occasions to list. But here are some.”
Every Human Endeavor
The Medallion Series Inlay was built for any moment worth commemorating — in any organization that understands the difference between a gesture and a statement. Personal or commercial. Intimate or institutional. The object does not change. Only the story it carries.
Years of service. Leadership milestones. Retirement. Founder recognition. Project completion. The people who built something deserve something built for them.
CorporateMug Club members. VIP guests. Founding patrons. Every time they set a glass down on their Medallion Series inlay — loyalty is quietly reinforced. They come back. They bring others.
CommercialFounders' circles. Giving societies. Premium membership tiers. Alumni legacy groups. The object confirms what a card never can — that their contribution is permanently remembered.
Non-Profit & CivicVIP guests. Sponsors. Speakers. Performers. Founding members. The Medallion Series turns event swag into a keepsake object tied to a specific moment in time — forever.
EventsCities. Landmarks. Annual events. Regional pride. A precision-crafted medallion commemorating a place or moment becomes the souvenir people actually keep — on their desk, not in a drawer.
TourismGolf courses. Marinas. Ski resorts. Hunting clubs. Tournament champions. Season milestones. The trophy that actually stays on the bar — not stored in a box after the season ends.
RecreationFounding donors. Department milestones. Athletic achievements. Alumni giving societies. Universities understand legacy — the Medallion Series makes it physical and permanent.
EducationRetail milestones. Financial thresholds. Anniversary recognition. The business that marks a customer's loyalty with a Medallion Series piece is remembered differently — permanently.
CommercialThe challenge coin tradition was born here. The Medallion Series elevates it — precision metal inlaid in sustainable bamboo, presented with the gravity these moments deserve.
Service & HonorCity councils. Chambers of commerce. Fire and police departments. Veterans organizations. Every civic body that honors service deserves something better than a plaque on a wall.
CivicFounding residents. Grand openings. Community milestones. A developer who presents a commemorative Medallion Series inlay builds pride of ownership before the first move-in day.
CommercialWeddings. Anniversaries. Sobriety milestones. Retirements. Family reunions. The moments that belong to one person — commemorated in something that lasts as long as the memory itself.
Personal"Consideration builds loyalty. Loyalty drives everything. The Medallion Series is the most personal investment any organization can make in the people who matter most."
Every human endeavor. Every occasion. Every reason that lasts.
Every medallion starts with a choice between two manufacturing processes. The process determines the depth of detail, the weight of the piece, and the overall impression it makes in someone's hand.
Die Cast — Deep 3D relief with antique plating. Note the dramatic depth, smooth transitions, and the way shadows define every element of the design.
Die Struck — Crisp, flat relief. Clean lines and precise graphic detail on a flatter surface. Ideal for bold logos and strong geometric design.
Die Casting — Recommended
Molten metal is poured into a precision mold, creating deep three-dimensional relief with smooth, organic transitions between elements. Ideal for complex imagery, portraits, landscapes, architectural detail, and any design where depth and drama matter. This is our recommended process for the Medallion Series.
Die Striking
Metal is stamped under high pressure into a die, creating sharp, precise relief on a flatter plane. Ideal for simpler designs, bold text, clean logos, and geometric elements. Die struck medallions receive a natural metal finish or electroplating — including antiquing — but are not suited to soft or hard enamel fill.
EverIDWare house coin — Die Struck with Antique Gold finish. Sharp lines, strong graphic presence, timeless character.
For most Medallion Series designs — especially those featuring landscapes, buildings, portraits, or organic imagery — die casting delivers significantly more impressive results. The depth and shadow play in an antique-finished cast medallion is unlike anything a struck coin can achieve.
Color is applied to die cast medallions through enamel fill or UV printing. Each method produces a distinct look and feel. Both can be combined on the same piece for maximum visual impact.
Soft Enamel
Soft Enamel — Color fills each recessed area while the metal lines between colors remain raised above the surface — visible and tactile.
Colored enamel is applied into the recessed areas of the medallion and allowed to cure. The metal lines separating each color area remain raised — you can see and feel the dimensional difference between the raised metal and the filled color. Traditional, bold, and highly detailed. The most widely used enamel type for medallions.
Hard Enamel
Hard Enamel — Multiple layers baked and polished flat. Enamel and metal are flush and uniform. A smooth, glass-like jewelry finish you can feel as much as see.
Multiple layers of enamel are baked at high temperature, then polished completely flat so the enamel color sits flush with all raised metal edges. The result is a glossy, jewelry-quality surface that feels perfectly smooth and uniform. Premium pricing reflects the additional labor involved.
UV Printing
Zodiac medallion — Die Cast with UV color printing applied over the 3D relief surface. Full photographic color combined with dramatic sculptural depth.
UV printing applies full-color photographic-quality imagery directly onto the medallion surface using ultraviolet-cured ink. Water resistant, scratch resistant, and highly durable. Ideal for complex color designs, gradients, and photography-style imagery that enamel alone cannot achieve. Can be combined with enamel and antique finishing on the same piece.
| Feature | Soft Enamel | Hard Enamel |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Recessed / Textured — metal lines raised | Flat / Smooth — everything flush |
| Durability | High — paint can chip over time | Extreme — scratch resistant, glass-hard |
| Visual Style | Traditional / Dimensional | Modern / Jewelry Quality |
| Feel | Raised metal lines feelable between colors | Perfectly smooth like stone or glass |
| Cost | Budget-friendly | Premium — approx. 20% surcharge |
Plating determines the metal tone of your medallion. Finish determines whether that tone is reflective and bright or muted and aged. Together they define the overall character of the piece.
Full plating options — from bright Gold and Nickel to rich Antique Bronze, Copper, and specialty finishes including Gun Metal, Chrome, Brass, Satin, and Double Plating.
Antique finish — Chemical darkening of recessed areas creates natural shadow and depth, dramatically enhancing 3D relief.
K9 medallion — Cast with edge trim, Antique Silver plating. Note the extraordinary detail and how the antique treatment brings every element to life through contrast and shadow.
| Feature | Shiny Finish | Antique Finish |
|---|---|---|
| Reflection | Mirror-like, high glint | Matte, non-reflective |
| Detail | Can wash out in glare | Highly defined by shadows |
| Maintenance | Shows fingerprints and smudges | Stays looking clean |
| Vibe | Modern, award-style | Heritage, legacy-style |
If your medallion has significant 3D relief — a face, a building, a landscape, a detailed logo — antique finish is almost always the better choice. The chemical shadowing in recessed areas brings three-dimensional artwork to life in a way no shiny finish can match.
Two separate edge elements can be customized on every medallion — the side profile and the face border. Together they frame the entire piece and add the finishing detail most people never expect — but always notice.
Side Profile Edge
The side edge is the thickness of the coin as seen from the side. Seven treatments are available — from plain and smooth to highly textured. Plain edge is included at no charge. All other treatments available at additional cost.
Side edge options — Plain (no charge), Lettered, Reeded, Knurled, Diamond, Petal, and Tire Tread.
Reeded edge vs smooth plain edge. Some U.S. currency — quarters, dimes — use a reeded edge. The texture adds a premium tactile feel and immediate recognizability.
The Lettered Edge
The Lettered Edge allows text, a date, a name, or a short message to be engraved directly around the side of the coin. This hidden detail is discovered only when the coin is turned in the hand — a personal touch that creates a moment of surprise and delight for the recipient.
Face Border / Rim Treatment
The face border is the decorative ring that frames the outer edge of the medallion face. It separates the design field from the edge and adds a finishing detail that significantly elevates the overall appearance.
Face border options include Smooth, Rope Line, Petal, Curve Wave, Flat Wave, Diamond Line, Oblique Line, Grid, Diagonal, Scale, and Text Imprint on Edge. The rope border on the EverIDWare house coin frames the design with authority and tradition — signaling that what's inside the border matters.
The medallion is only the beginning. What sets the EverIDWare Medallion Series apart is what happens next — the precision inlay into laser engraved Moso Bamboo, and the presentation that surrounds it.
Medallion Series Inlay — cast medallion in Antique Silver, precision inlaid flush into a 4x4 laser engraved Moso Bamboo Tile. Both the Obverse and Reverse of the same medallion displayed side by side.
The Full Presentation — Obverse and Reverse of the same medallion inlaid side by side in a laser engraved bamboo tile, presented in an elegant bamboo gift box.
To display both the front and back of a single medallion design, two separate CNC recesses are cut side by side in the bamboo tile — one holding the obverse, one holding the reverse. Available in the 1.75 inch size. Ask us about this option when you submit your project details.
University of Nevada Reno — College of Business. Obverse: John Tulloch Business Building. Reverse: UNR seal with soft enamel color. Two sides of the same medallion — both displayable in a single bamboo tile.
